Liberal Democrat Parish Councillor Linda Hodson was unanimously elected as Chair of Great Dawley Parish Council at its annual meeting on 10 May. Linda has been a parish councillor for the last 4 years and was re-elected in the local elections on 3 May. She will chair the council for the forthcoming year. The new make-up of the Parish council is as follows:- 3 Liberal Democrats 1 Independent 5 TAWPA (Telford & Wrekin Peoples Association) 5 Labour Great Dawley Parish Council has been predominantly Labour for a long time but the position has now changed and Labour no longer holds the majority. The Parish Council also elected the Independent Councillor Paul Wolfe as Vice-chair. Residents will benefit from a more open and responsive council than has been the case in the past.
