Linda Hodson elected as Chair of Great Dawley Parish Council, May 2007

Cllr Linda Hodson

Liberal Democrat Parish Councillor Linda Hodson was unanimously elected as Chair of Great Dawley Parish Council at its annual meeting on 10 May. Linda has been a parish councillor for the last 4 years and was re-elected in the local elections on 3 May. She will chair the council for the forthcoming year.

The new make-up of the Parish council is as follows:-

3 Liberal Democrats

1 Independent

5 TAWPA (Telford & Wrekin Peoples Association)

5 Labour

Great Dawley Parish Council has been predominantly Labour for a long time but the position has now changed and Labour no longer holds the majority. The Parish Council also elected the Independent Councillor Paul Wolfe as Vice-chair. Residents will benefit from a more open and responsive council than has been the case in the past.
