Last Chance to vote in Leadership Election

Liberal Democrat members have until noon on 1 March to register their vote in the Leadership Election. Ballot papers and manifestos for the three candidates were sent out to members on 6 February. There was a good turnout at our Regional Conference in Coventry on 18 February to meet the candidates and hear what they had to say. If members are still undecided, they can visit the candidates websites before voting.

It is expected to be a close finish, under the Single Transferable Vote (STV) system. The leading two contenders in the first round will benefit from the second preferences of the third candidate, which could make a difference to the result in the first round. The new leader will be announced at 15.00 on 2 March, and will be welcomed by delegates to the Federal Spring Conference in Harrogate from 3-5 March.
