Wrekin and Telford Liberal Democrats: Campaigning across the Wrekin and Telford Constituencies

Great Dawley By-elections on 14 July

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 21st Jun 2005

Two Labour councillors, Wendy Bowater and Chris Skidmore, had to resign recently from Great Dawley Parish Council for failing to attend meetings over a two year period. LibDem Cllr Linda Hodson said, "These people were elected to serve the local community, and have let us down badly. As a result, by-elections are taking place to elect their replacements. Our LibDem candidates, Nicola Jayne Holmes and Anthony Derek Candlin, both live in Malinslee, and I am confident they will represent the area better than their Labour counterparts."
