Wrekin and Telford Liberal Democrats: Campaigning across the Wrekin and Telford Constituencies

Albrighton Parish Council By-elections

12.00.00am GMT Thu 17th Feb 2005

Due to the resignation in December 2004 of Labour members Mrs Gill Hopkins and her daughter Mrs Emma Byrne, by-elections will be held for one councillor in each of the two Albrighton wards on Thursday 24 February between 8am and 9pm.

In Albrighton North, the contest is between Roger Balkwill, Stephen Davies (Green Party) and Barry Dorward. In Albrighton South, it is a straight fight between Samantha Horrobin (Independent) and Amanda Medlyn (For Albrighton). The count will be held at the Old School in Station Road, which has been the subject of some controversy in the village about its future.
