Wrekin and Telford Liberal Democrats: Campaigning across the Wrekin and Telford Constituencies

Civic Carol Services

10.59.31pm GMT Fri 10th Dec 2004

On Sunday 5 December at 3.30pm, Bridgnorth District Council held its Civic Carol Service at St. Andrew's Church in Shifnal. It was a well-attended and memorable occasion, and reminded us all of the true meaning of Christmas. Albrighton will be holding its Community Carol Service at 6.30pm on Sunday 12 December at St. Mary's Church. Albrighton and Shifnal are the only parts of the Bridgnorth District that are in The Wrekin, and not the Ludlow constituency.

An equally well-supported event in another part of The Wrekin was the Civic Carol Service at 7pm on 9 December at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in King Street, Wellington. The Mayor, Cllr Pat Fairclough welcomed the congregation, visiting dignitaries, the Wellington (Telford) Brass Band, the Jade Singers, organist Veronica Thomas and soloist Theresa Collins. The address was given by Father John Rafferty.
