Albrighton & District Focus - Autumn Edition

The latest quarterly Focus newsletter is now being distributed in Albrighton and District. Shifnal and Albrighton are the only areas of Bridgnorth District Council that are in The Wrekin constituency, which includes Newport, and stretches round the north of Telford to the other side of Wellington. The rest of Bridgnorth District is in the Ludlow constituency, where the MP is LibDem Matthew Green.

This Focus covers a number of local issues, including the new corporate priorities for Bridgnorth District Council, the new Shropshire Parish Charter, and comment on the future of the Old School in Station Road, Albrighton. It also refers to recent LibDem election successes in the region, and the progress report on the County Transport Plan.

Further topics include the Green Flag Award for the Severn Valley Country Park, the future of council houses in the District, a new start for the local Plan, and the welcome appointment of a new police beat manager for Shifnal and Albrighton. It is hoped that copies of local LibDem newsletters in Telford and The Wrekin constituencies will soon be made available on the website in pdf format, for visitors to download and print off.
